Chemical Peels and Facials

Facial and Chemical Peel

The classic facial, also commonly called a spa facial, is a very relaxing way to improve and maintain your skin’s overall appearance, especially if done on a regular basis. A typical facial at Laronn Clinique involves thoroughly cleansing and exfoliating the skin, then massaging it to boost circulation and encourage lymphatic drainage. One or two masks will be applied, followed by toners and moisturizers appropriate for your skin type.

There are various types of facials offered at Laronn Clinique, such as anti-aging, oxygen, collagen, and deep cleansing – all tailored to each patient’s individual skin needs.

Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation that uses a delicate scapel held at a precise angle to gently scrape off the top layer of dulling dead skin cells in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

This procedure is useful to reduce fine lines, brown spots, large pores, aging skin, and acne. It increases skin elasticity, giving the skin a smoother texture. It is safe and effective for all skin types and may be used by itself or in combination with other treatments in a series or as part of a maintenance regimen. It may be used on any area of the body. *

Chemical Peels
There are many different varieties of chemical peels because there are a variety of chemical agents that can be used in varying strengths. Laronn Clinique offers 14 different peels made up of 8 agents and 13 variations. Some of the peel types include: glycolic acid, salicylic acid, TCA (blue peel), Retinoic, Jessner, or cryogenic.

How They Work
A solution is applied to your face to remove the dead cells and stimulate the production of new skin cells. This process tightens the skin, reduces brown discolorations and uneven pigmentation, reduces and controls acne, decreases fine wrinkles, improves sun-damaged skin, and restores a more youthful appearance.

There are a multitude of solutions that are used for different types of problems. These solutions can be used in low to high concentrations, depending on the type of skin and the problem that needs to be corrected. The stronger, more concentrated the solution is, the deeper the peel, the better the correction, and the longer the recovery time. Dr Laronn will select the right strength of peel or combinations for your personal skin condition and type. Peels may be combined with other treatments such as iontophoresis (an enhanced delivery of nutrients, vitamins, or hydration to your skin). Since there are a number of different treatments that address the same condition, it is important to have a physician experienced in all of the alternatives and options available so that you can be advised which is best for you. *
